Views, Views & More Views!

If you will be visiting us soon, here are front and back views at the Inn that you will be enjoying (especially on these beautiful sunny days as yesterday, pictured!).  Mt. Hood's white snow shines on days like these, and the southern valley overlooking McKinlay vineyards from the front just relaxes our guests who sit on the lawn chairs or on our oversized front porch. We are fortunate to have this gorgeous scenary.  Looking forward to pampering all our guests coming this summer!  Kristen & Linda

Paint!

Nothing like a fresh coat of paint, and what a weekend to paint!  Just a glorious day here in the Willamatte Valley.  We can't wait to see the results of a deeper, richer red in this sunshine.  Kristen & Linda

Chef Wendy Bennett of Wine Country Studio

Dan's 50th party was a hit with family and friends at Stoller Family Estate in December, and Chef Wendy Bennett of Wine Country Studio in Dundee catered the amazing meal.  Beef Wellington in a puff pastry was the main course and a huge hit

More Pictures at Christmas Time.....

Just had a share some photos a guest took yesterday in and around the Inn.  Beautiful vineyards even without their glory of grapes and leaves. Thanks Paula for sharing with us!

Chistmas Time!

We love Christmas time at the Inn.  The beautiful lights, with a roaring fire, makes the Inn inviting and very cozy on cold days and nights!  Come visit us, better yet, book a night for a wonderful time in a  peaceful and serene setting.    Kristen & Linda

Wine Cooking Studio - Dundee

Met with Chef Wendy of Wine Cooking Studio yesterday to plan a meal for Dan's 50th party at Stoller Winery in December.  So excited to use her talents, and blog about it!  If you are looking for a great experience to cook and learn, check out her classes and website.  Here's an excerpt I took from her site (what amazing experience she has):

Wendy..."was trained and mentored by Noel Cullen, master chef and past president of the National Chapter of the American Culinary Federation. Wendy captained a 6- member culinary team which earned a gold medal at the Culinary Olympics (IKA HOGA) in Frankfurt, Germany in 1988. The team also earned 26 medals in ‘Hotelympia’ a culinary competition held in London, England the same year.  While earning her Bachelor’s Degree, Wendy worked as a teaching assistant at Johnson & Wales and realized her passion for teaching culinary arts to others. Before graduating, Wendy was inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society by Julia Child, who has been an on-going inspiration for her love of teaching culinary arts. Wendy’s professional experience includes work in both the front and back of the house for companies like Sheraton Corporation, Aramark and Shaw’s Supermarkets. Wendy also worked for celebrity chef, Todd English, as the chef of ‘Figs’ restaurant in Beacon Hill, Massachusetts. Throughout the years, Wendy was never far from her true passion, teaching, and taught countless future industry professionals as an instructor at Boston University’s School of Hospitality and for Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Most recently, Wendy was the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, Oregon."

Will let you know how it goes, but by the sound of the meal we just planned, and others who have used her services, I think we are in for a real treat!  Kristen

Morning Glory!

Linda and I are "lucky" to view amazing scenary at the Inn.  We often see stunning and robust rainbows to glorious sunrises with silhouettes of Mount Hood.  Linda is up at the crack of dawn to prepare coffee for our guests, then likes to capture beautiful morning skies. We have many of these photos posted on our Facebook Page, but here's a collage of pictures just taken in the last month. Truly breathtaking.   Kristen

#1 Top Rated B&B in Oregon - The DreamGiver's Inn!

We recently learned we are the #1 Top Rated B&B in Oregon out of 546 Bed & Breakfasts on TripAdvisor!  This is a huge honor. Thanks to our amazing guests who have entered our doors and have chosen to stay at The DreamGiver's Inn.  We've been in business for seven years now, and truly the people we have met and the stories that have been shared, make this type of "business" fun and fulfilling for Linda and me. We love what we do, and have a passion to provide the best hospitality and pampering to those who visit the Inn in beautiful Oregon. So, a great big thanks goes to all of our guests and reviewers!  Pictured are some recent photos a guest, Sarah, sent to us of the Inn and surrounding grounds.  Thank you Sarah, just spectacular!

Awesome Review--Thank you!

"I can’t say enough wonderful things about The Dreamgiver’s Inn! This inn is simply spectacular. My husband and I have had the pleasure of being guests at Dreamgiver’s now on four separate occasions and I truly can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather stay. The inn itself is lovely and quiet and the location is perfect as the inn looks over the scenic Willamette Valley.
Linda is the perfect innkeeper. She treats you as royalty while making you feel like family. Linda’s breakfasts are superb (wait till you try her scones and Crème Brule French toast-delish!). Linda will take the time to guide you to some of the area’s finest wineries and restaurants. The décor of this inn is stylish and tasteful but also very comfortable and inviting. The beds are comfy and the bedding luxurious. Attention is paid to all the little details that make an inn first in its class. You simply cannot go wrong in choosing Dreamgiver’s Inn as your place to stay."  TripAdvisor Reviewer

Dan & Kristen visited this winery southwest of Amity this weekend.  The Witness Tree (background) is the tree where the winery took its name--an ancient oak tree used as a surveyor's landmark in 1854 during the Oregon Trail era.  Dan took the photo of glass and tree, pretty cool.  Kristen

"New" One Acre of Grass

We'll post pictures early summer of our new one acre of grass soon to be planted.  As you enter the Inn's driveway, there's one acre that greets you that is pretty plain and boring.  We learned of a grass seed a few years back (which is now behind the Inn) that stays green most of the year where you don't have to water it!  So, looking foward to having lots of green, lush grass around the Inn to beautify it even more.  Guess this rain will help it grow rich and green as well but we need sun, too! : )  Kristen

Tulips

Can't wait for the tulips to start blooming at the Inn, and the Wooden Shoe Festival in Woodburn which also begins soon--March 30th and runs through April 30th.  Such a beautiful sight to see with rows and rows of gorgeous tulips.  But the tulips at the Inn, which are many, are beautiful and breathtaking on their own as well.  Right now the daffodils are blooming on our grounds, and we love this as the first signs of spring!  Kristen & Linda

Off to a Good Start!

The start to another great year has already begun as reservations are starting to come in for spring and summer stays.  We have a newly remodeled space on our lower level where guests will be able to roll the doors open and enjoy outdoor views and air (its now our favorite spot in the Inn).  We have several new projects we hope to complete this year to make the Inn and its surroundings even more beautiful.  Here's to our guests, and to a fantastic 2012!  Pictured is a photo from last spring...with lots of green grass and sun!  Kristen & Linda
