Our Winter Wonderland of Snow Continues

The last three days in the Willamette Valley has seen over a foot of snow, and more so where the B&B resides--and it is beautiful! Linda has made a roaring fire each day which keeps the Inn warm and cozy. I ventured to the Inn yesterday to see all its wonder, and the snow accumulated slowly but surely over the hours I was visiting, so I thought I better get down the hill before dark. I had no problems as I have studded tires and four wheel drive.

We have out of town guests coming today who are originally from Connecticut. They told us their car is equipped with chains, and ready to trek through the wintery snow! Linda has plowed the front steps for safe walking, and is ready to pamper them with hot cocoa, a crackling fire, and if they desire to stay in, show them to our vast movie collection where they can enjoy a classic or newly released movie by the library fireplace. A very merry snowy Christmas everyone! Kristen

Winter Wonderland

There's nothing quite like the first snowfall of the season. It's magical--lovely to watch and awesome to stand in the quietness of a world bathed in white. My guests and I watched in wonder as the big, fluffy flakes swirled and twirled to the ground as we sat inside by the fire with a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee. We couldn't think of a better place to be in a snowstorm! Linda

It's Beautiful at Christmas!

Christmas time at the Inn is so beautiful. Linda and I bought an eight foot noble fir tree just after Thankgiving, and between the two of us, got it through the back door! So with the tree now decorated, and wreaths, ornaments and candles also filling the main room, it just beckons you to sit by a roaring fire and take it all in! We love lots of lights, and have several lit trees on the front porch and also a lighted garland hanging across the rails. The lights at night shine so brightly on a dark hill. Our neighbors comment to us they enjoy seeing them. We enjoy making the Christmas nights so bright for them, and all of our guests who stay during this time. Kristen
