Dan and I recently dined at The Painted Lady for our 16th wedding anniversary. We went all out and had our courses paired with the wine's they chose. It was perfect! The Painted Lady, in my opinon, has the best food, service and ambience around. The restaurant is in a restored Victorian home in downtown Newberg, and upon entering its doors, you are greeted by soft music, the glow of candlelight and a pleasant host. The meal was unbelievable; you can cut the steak with a fork, and all courses are unique and flavorful. We have sent many guests over the years here, and probably 99.9% have given The Painted Lady high remarks (check out their online reviews!). Treat yourself some time; you won't be disappointed. Fall is my favorite time of year with falling leaves and crisp, cold air. Linda now has a fire going every day for guests, which is so inviting once you walk through the front doors--you just want to curl up with some hot cocoa and sit by the fire.
I purchased a new camera recently, and snapped away again at the Inn and the grounds--everything so beautiful even on an overcast day. Now if I could just slow down and spend some time on those two red chairs outside, or even by the fire inside, then all would be divine. Just need to schedule it I guess :) Kristen
